Hoover Dam

Hoover Dam, a modern engineering marvel, was built during the Great Depression in part to put unemployed men back to work. During the construction of the 726-foot-high dam, more than 100 of those men died. The dam, located 45 minutes from downtown Las Vegas, contains Lake Mead, the largest reservoir in the United States. The dam now provides hydroelectric power to a large portion of Nevada, Arizona, and California. And this place is considered one of the most visited places in Las Vegas. If you want to make your trip memorable then you should definitely make a visit.

Grand Canyon

If you only have one day to spend in Las Vegas, a visit to the Grand Canyon is a must, especially if you have never seen this natural wonder. If you are traveling by car, the Grand Canyon Skywalk at Eagle Point is less than 2.5 hours from Las Vegas. The more famous area is the Grand Canyon's South Rim, which is about four hours away. The main national park visitor center, a beautiful drive and walkway along the canyon's rim, multiple lookouts, hiking trails, and several key attractions are all located here. So make your visit a must.
